DUBAI IN THIRD PLACE IN ATTRACTING FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT

Dubai maintains its leading position in foreign direct investment destinations with inflows of 15.9 billion dirhams, according to the Financial Times FDI Markets ranking.

Foreign Direct Investment reflects the objective of establishing a lasting interest on the part of direct investors such as direct investment companies residing in an economy other than that of the direct investor.

Total Foreign Direct Investment projects increased by 16% from 326 in the first 9 months of 2020 to 378 in the same period of 2021.

The emirate was also ranked second globally in the 'Top Cities for FDI' subcategory, as well as in 'Economic Potential and Business Friendly Environment', with third position in the 'Connectivity' subcategory, highlighting the high level confidence of investors in Dubai and its preparation for the future.
