THE MOST FAMOUS BUILDINGS IN DUBAI - 2023

If we close our eyes and imagine the city of Dubai, a skyline full of gigantic buildings comes to mind. This is no mere coincidence because, despite being a young city, Dubai has become the third city with the most skyscrapers in the world.

In this city, many resources are constantly invested in construction with a very clear objective: they want to be the ideal city to live and visit. Currently, 20% of the world's cranes are in Dubai, which already has more than 150 buildings that exceed 150 meters. These colossal data help us to get an idea of the magnitude of the buildings in Dubai.

Below we show you a list of the most emblematic buildings.

Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa is the most important building in the city and an icon that makes its citizens proud. It’s normal for it to receive all these honors, the tallest building in the world. With a height of 828 meters, it is a banner of modern construction in which more than 12,000 people from all over the world were involved for 6 years.

Visiting this great building in Dubai is almost mandatory for any traveler visiting the city. At your feet you will find two of the XXL attractions: The Dubai Mall (the largest shopping center in the world) and Fountain Views.

The famous Burj Khalifa can be considered a vertical city, and it fits the luxurious Armani Hotel

Dubai Frame

Dubai Frame is gradually becoming one of the representative symbols of the metropolis. It is a 150-meter building in the shape of a frame that symbolically brings together the past, present, and future of the city in the same pictograph.

On its upper bridge it has one of the most privileged views of Dubai thanks to its location with few tall buildings around. Nothing is random in Dubai, the Dubai Frame is in this area as a divider between the modern and old areas and, in this way, continue to give the monument metaphorical meaning.

The visit to the Dubai Frame offers us a walk through the history of the city. The first section, still at ground level, exposes visitors to the history of the metropolis. After visiting this museum, an elevator will take us to the top, to contemplate the present from above. When we finish, we will find another one, this time dedicated to future plans.

Burj Al Arab

Dubai wants to top all the lists in the world and, of course, it has the most luxurious hotel in existence. Although its height of 321 meters is far from previous buildings, this sail-shaped architectural jewel located on an artificial island is considered the only 7-star hotel in the world.

As you can imagine, sleeping in the Burj Al Arab is one of the most rewarding hotel experiences in the world. Of course, a stay at the Burj Al Arab is not cheap but it will be an unforgettable experience!

Burj Al Arab can be visited, either from outside or inside. To see and photograph its spectacular structure, the best option is to do it from a beach, such as Jumeirah Beach.

In the event that we want to enter, we must stay at the luxury hotel or reserve a table at one of its restaurants.

Emirates Towers

This fantastic complex is a business center and a 5-star hotel made up of two towers (Emirates Towers One and Emirates Towers Two) measuring 355 and 309 meters respectively. At its base, the "Boulevard" shopping center joins them, occupying an area of 9,000 m2. The complex has a large space for gardens, artificial waterfalls and rest areas in general where you can relax.

Emirates Tower One, at 355 m, was the tallest tower in Dubai until the construction of the Burj Khalifa. This tower has a total of 54 floors for offices.

On the other hand, Emirates Tower Two is a luxurious 56-storey hotel. A curiosity, the tallest tower has fewer floors, this is because the floors for offices are higher than those for hotels.

Staying at the Jumeirah Emirates Tower, the five-star hotel located in Emirates Tower Two, is undoubtedly a great experience full of luxury and comfort.

Cayan Towers

Also known as the Infinity Tower, this spectacular tower is in Dubai Marina. This famous building in Dubai measures 306 meters and consists of 73 floors. The characteristic that makes it stand out from other towers in Dubai is that it has a spiral shape. In fact, it is the tallest rotating tower in the world, rotating 80 degrees. As usual, at its base we can find a shopping center.

The architects responsible for such a feat are the engineering firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, a Chicago firm with approximately 85 years of history. The construction of the building took 7 years to complete, work began in 2007 and finished in 2013.

Cayan Tower is well worth a visit, but above all it is recommended for lovers of modern architecture. Its location is great, it will catch us on the way when visiting Marina.

Rose Rayhaan by Rotana

This impressive 333-meter, 71-story tower is located on the main avenue in Dubai called Sheikh Zayed Road.

Although its height was lowered compared to the initial project, the Rose Rayahaan skyscraper has the honor of being the tallest hotel in the world. If what you are passionate about are good views from your bed, this is undoubtedly your ideal hotel!

The construction of the macro hotel was carried out in 2007 and cost 60 million dollars. To visit it we can stay in one of its 684 rooms (much more affordable than the hotels shown above), go to its cafeteria or ask for a table in one of its two restaurants.

Deira Twin Towers

Located along the Dubai Creek, these towers were built in 1995, so for a city as young as Dubai at an urban level, they can be considered old.

We must highlight the large shopping center located at the foot of these towers. These iconic Dubai buildings measure 102 meters made up of 22 floors. Tower 1 is dedicated to housing from the fourth floor, while Tower 2 contains commercial units. We can find in it shops, cafes, restaurants, a gym and other facilities of interest.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel

This original design construction shows us that not only the height makes a building spectacular. With its characteristic wave-shaped silhouette, it is perfectly in tune with the sail of the Burj Al Arab, located very close. This hotel complex has a large number of luxurious rooms, 19 villas with sea views and 20 places to eat or drink inside.

Apart from the luxury that the hotel houses inside, clients also have advantages outside of it. The Jumeirah Beach hotel has more than 33,000 m2 of private beach and direct access to the Wild Wadi water park located next door, hotel guests enjoy unlimited access to it.

Marina 101

We cannot forget the gigantic Marina 101, the second tallest building in Dubai.

With its impressive 426.5 meters high and its 101 floors (hence the name of course), it has 300 hotel rooms inside and 506 luxury apartments with private service included. This was finished in 2016 so its interior is extremely modern.

Princess Tower

With a height of 413.4 meters and 101 floors, this building can be considered as a vertical neighborhood since it is a skyscraper dedicated to housing.

At the time of its inauguration it was the tallest residential building in the world, but despite the fact that this happened only in 2012, Dubai's real estate splendor has seen others surpass it.
