Dubai Creek Harbour, also known as The Lagoons, is a destination created to be the new urban center of the city, with an area equivalent to twice the size of Downtown, it is fully developed by the construction company EMAAR.

Rising above the canal, Dubai Creek Harbor sits between the city's historic sites and the newer hubs of Downtown and Business Bay, which are only a 10-15 minute drive away.

In Dubai Creek Harbor there are several commercial developments currently underway, with new openings in commercial, cultural and residential spaces. Plans have also been announced for an area called Dubai Square, which when completed will be the city's premier tech-driven retail destination. With an area of 2.6 million square meters and architecture inspired by cities around the world, it is destined to become a lifestyle and a fashionable place, and will also be home to the city's own version of Chinatown.

Another main feature of this area is the Dubai Creek Tower, which was designed to tower over the Burj Khalifa by some 100m and thus claim the title of the tallest building in the world. The top of Dubai Creek Tower will have observation decks that provide 360-degree views of all of Dubai and will be landscaped with gardens, inspired by the ancient Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Another prominent feature of the community is the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to beautiful birds and brings a natural look to the community. The flamingos and mangroves give the area a special character.

Transport

You can take the metro to the neighboring Deira area, there you will find the nearest bus line which will drop you a short walk to Dubai Creek, or alternatively you can take a taxi or use Uber.

Entertainment

The district is the ideal place to enjoy a slower pace of life and take in the serene horizons and views of the marina during an al fresco meal. Walk along the 6km promenade and stop to take pictures at one of the brightly colored art installations, or hop aboard a boat tour and take in some of the city's key landmarks
